Police say a suspect is still at large. BX double shooting leaves 1 dead
Police are investigating a double shooting in the Bronx that left one dead and another wounded Monday. Police say Andre King, 22, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and legs just before 8 p.m. at Boston Road and E. 173rd Street. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died.
The state health department says the risk of Health dept. report: Cancer-linked toxin at BX school is low risk
Tests found higher than normal concentrations of a toxin linked to cancer at a Bronx elementary school, but the risk of getting sick from it is low, according to a report by the New York State Department of Health. Members of the state health department say air testing found high concentrations of TCE at P.S. 51, which was forced to shut down in September 2011 due to the toxin.

Starting today, drivers with junior and probationary licenses who are caught texting behind the wheel will receive a 60-day suspension. Under the new law signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a young driver who is caught texting a second time within six months will have their junior license suspended for another two months.
