Countdown To ICIS Password/LogOn Deployment
Subject: ICIS User ID/Password Log-on Changes – Effective July 27, 2013

Hello Everyone,

The purpose of this release is to implement an interface with EPA’s Web Access Management (WAM) to improve the user authentication and password management for the ICIS database.   We are in the process of migrating ICIS users who have logged on to the system since 1/1/2012 to convert your current id to a new format.

Who is affected by this change?

  • All users of the ICIS Application

What does this mean for current ICIS users?
  • User authentication and passwords will be managed by the WAM database and will no longer be part of the ICIS application.

  • Users will use the “Forgot Password” functionality to reset their own password rather than the ICIS Regional System Administrators.

  • ICIS Users with an EPA Network/EPA LAN id - These ICIS users will be able to log into the EPA Network with a single sign-on which will automatically log them into ICIS.

  • ICIS Users outside the EPA Network –   These ICIS users will be given a user name and password.

  • ICIS Batch Users – You will continue to use your TSSMS id and password.

What does this mean for new users?

  • New users will go to the EPA Portal to self-register and request access to an ICIS Community.

How will the changes be communicated to the users?

The ICIS Team has conducted weekly conference calls with the ICIS System Administrators and will continue thru implementation.  In addition, this will be an agenda item on the ICIS monthly calls. Our plans are to continue to keep you informed of the progress and status of this project.

Webinar presentations for users will be conducted on the following dates:

            July 23rd from 1 – 2pm EDT,
July 24th from 3 – 4pm EDT
