TCEQ Daily Air Quality Forecast Update

You are subscribed to Daily Air Quality Forecast (for Austin,Beaumont-Port Arthur,Brownsville-McAllen,Corpus Christi,Dallas-Ft. Worth,El Paso,Houston,Laredo,Lubbock,Midland-Odessa,San Antonio,Tyler-Longview,Victoria) for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This information has recently been updated, and is now available.

Monday 8/19/13
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the southwest and west side of the Houston area, and on the northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin areas with highest concentrations this afternoon and into the early evening. Ozone could also reach "Moderate" or possibly higher in the El Paso, Beaumont-Port Arthur, and Corpus Christi areas and "Moderate" in the Victoria, Tyler-Longview, and Waco-Killeen areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Continental haze is causing increased fine particulate over most of the eastern half of the state and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" over most of this area. Elsewhere in West Texas, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Tuesday 8/20/13
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and "Moderate" or possibly higher on the north and northwest side of the Houston area and in the Tyler-Longview area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Incoming background levels may still be high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels on the northwest side of the San Antonio and Austin areas and in the El Paso and Waco-Killeen areas with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Continental haze may keep the daily PM2.5 AQI in the "Moderate" range over most of North Central and Northeast Texas. African dust should begin moving into the Texas coast and could possibly raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over much of South and Southeast Texas. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels will help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
