Thursday 8/15/13 Outlook
If background levels are high enough, winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. If there is enough afternoon sunshine, increasing background levels and light winds associated with an advancing cold front will help ozone reach "Moderate" levels on the west sides of the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas and in the Austin, San Antonio, Beaumont-Port Arthur, and Tyler-Longview areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and/or lower incoming background levels will help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Friday 8/16/13 Outlook
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels on the west and northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and "Moderate" levels on the southwest side of the Houston area and in the Austin, San Antonio, Beaumont-Port Arthur, El Paso, and Tyler-Longview areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and/or lower incoming background levels will help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
