Agriculture Under Secretary Kevin Concannon to Discuss New Report on the Costs of Raising a Child

 

WASHINGTON, August 13, 2013 - TOMORROW, August 14, Agriculture Under Secretary Kevin Concannon will host a national media call to discuss a new economic report about expenditures on children by American families. The report, updated annually, will provide estimates for expenses related to food, shelter, housing, child-care and other necessities that could be expected for a child born in 2012, through age 17.

 

Under Secretary Concannon will be joined by Robert Post, Acting Executive Director of the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion, as well as study author and economist Mark Lino.
