A Pleasant Lake 17-year-old girl scored a perfect 36 this year on the ACT test.
Northwest High School student Sarah Casebeer knew it was possible after scoring a 30 on the college entrance exam the previous year as a sophomore.
The ACT tests English, reading, math and science. Only 781 students of more than 1.66 million who took the test last year scored a 36.
Casebeer credits some of her success to preparatory classes at her high school. She hopes to pursue a career in engineering, but still hasn't decided where she will apply to college. Ivy League schools are possibilities.
