TCEQ Daily Air Quality Forecast Update

You are subscribed to Daily Air Quality Forecast (for Austin,Beaumont-Port Arthur,Brownsville-McAllen,Corpus Christi,Dallas-Ft. Worth,El Paso,Houston,Laredo,Lubbock,Midland-Odessa,San Antonio,Tyler-Longview,Victoria) for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This information has recently been updated, and is now available.

A significant change was made for tomorrow's Air Quality Forecast. Here is the revised forecast.

Wednesday 9/25/13
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone levels to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the south and southeast side of the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas, on the north and northwest side of the Austin and San Antonio areas, and in the Corpus Christi area, "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in the Beaumont-Port Arthur and Victoria areas, and "Moderate" levels in the Brownsville-McAllen, Laredo, Tyler-Longview, and Waco-Killeen areas, with highest concentrations this afternoon and into the early evening. Incoming continental haze should keep PM2.5 levels in the "Moderate" range over parts of Southeast Texas, including the Houston area. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range. 

Thursday 9/26/13
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the north and northwest side of the Houston area, on the north side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area, "Moderate" or possibly higher levels on the north and northwest side of the Austin and San Antonio areas, and in the Tyler-Longview and Waco-Killeen areas, and "Moderate" levels in the Corpus Christi area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Incoming continental haze may help to raise PM2.5 levels into the "Moderate" range over parts of North Central and East Texas. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range. 

Friday 9/27/13 Outlook
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels on the north and northwest side of the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas, and in the Tyler-Longview area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range. 

Saturday 9/28/13 Outlook
Moderate winds and low incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range statewide.
