Friday 8/9/13
African dust should continue across the eastern two-thirds of the state along and east of a line from Big Bend to Odessa to Wichita Falls and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" levels over most of this area, although concentrations should be diminishing. Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels in the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the Panhandle and parts of West Texas, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Saturday 8/10/13
If incoming background levels are high enough, winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in central, northern, and northeastern portions of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. African dust may linger along the Rio Grande from Laredo to Del Rio to Big Bend and could possibly raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" levels over much of this area, although concentrations should be diminishing. Elsewhere in the remainder of the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Sunday 8/11/13 Outlook
If incoming background levels are high enough, winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels on the north and northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Monday 8/12/13 Outlook
If incoming background levels are high enough, winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels on the north side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
