African dust is covering most of the eastern two-thirds of the state along and east of a line from Sanderson to Wichita Falls and should raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" levels over this area today. Elsewhere in the western third of the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

African dust should continue across the eastern two-thirds of the state along and east of a line from Big Bend to Odessa to Vernon and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" levels over most of this area. Elsewhere in the western third of the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
