Thursday 8/29/13
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone levels to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" or possibly higher on the south and southeast side of the Houston area; "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" in central and northern portions of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area; "Moderate" or possibly higher on the west side of the San Antonio area and in the Tyler-Longview area; and "Moderate" on the south and southwest side of the Austin area and in the Waco-Killeen area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Incoming continental haze could also raise PM2.5 levels into the "Moderate" range over parts of Southeast Texas. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range. 

Friday 8/30/13
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone levels to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" or possibly higher on the north and northeast side of the Houston area; "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the north side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area; "Moderate" or possibly higher on the north and northwest sides of the Austin and San Antonio areas and in the Tyler-Longview area; and "Moderate" in the El Paso and Waco-Killeen areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
