Gonick Submission deadline: 10 Aug 2014 This research topic will aim to describe and contrast the properties of each of the proposed natriuretic hormones, including their locus on Sephadex separation, potency, duration of action, chemical structure (if known), behavior in hypertension, renal failure, heart failure, and brain disease. Molecular Mechanism of Neuronal Dysfunction in the Diabetic Brain Topic Editors: Subbiah Pugazhenthi and Marc L. Goalstone Submission deadline: 01 Apr 2014 This research topic focuses on recent advances in understanding the neuronal dysfunction of diabetic brain. Neuroactive Steroids as Cofactors in Aging and Neurodegeneration Topic Editors: Patrizia Longone and Vassilios Papadopoulos Submission deadline: 30 Dec 2013 This research topic aims at collecting and covering recent understanding on the aptitude of neuroactive steroids to act as neuronal coordinators and protectants and at providing a deeper overview of their role during aging and in neurodegeneration.
