	Threat closes US embassies in Muslim world for day The United States is closing its embassies and consulates throughout the Muslim world on Sunday after receiving an unspecified threat, officials said. State Department officials said Thursday they were acting out of an "abundance of caution."

Russia granted Snowden temporary asylum on Thursday, allowing him to leave the Moscow airport where he had been holed up for almost six weeks. He can now remain in Russia for at least a year as he evades charges of espionage in the United States.

	Carmel High School grad still missing A graduate of Carmel High School has been missing for nearly two weeks. Dana Bonnano vanished from her Brooklyn home after sending her mother a disturbing text message on July 22.
