Nassau police say they recovered a 9mm handgun Nassau officer shot in New Hyde Park

A Nassau County police officer was shot overnight in New Hyde Park.The shooting occurred at a home on Campbell Street, just east of Lakeville Road in New Hyde Park at around 2 a.m.
