Governor's Award nominee David Sciarretta recognized for successful career at steam plant

07.22.2013: Since he began working at the Virginia Tech Central Steam Plant 18 years ago, David "Pepper" Sciarretta has worked his way up from an assistant operator, to turbine operator, to lead plant operator.  In addition to serving as relief shift supervisor, one of his primary responsibilities is to coordinate the entering of preventative maintenance and work order data into the Facilities Services Computerized Maintenance System.

Dr. Cyril R. Clarke appointed as dean of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

07.18.2013: Dr. Cyril R. Clarke currently serves as professor and dean of Oregon State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He will succeed Gerhardt G. Schurig, who announced his plans to return to the faculty after 10 years as both interim dean and dean of the veterinary college.
