This spectacular photo of the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument was taken by Brandon Kopp, and submitted to our Summer in America's Great Outdoors photo project. Here's what Brandon had to say about this shot. "I've had this idea to do some self-portraits in the large, empty chamber of the Lincoln Memorial for a couple weeks. I took photos awhile back and as I processed them, I thought they were missing something. They weren't missing a sense of the awesome scale of the place (you thought I was going to say "me" didn't you?). So I went this morning and luckily managed about 25 discontinuous minutes worth of time alone in the Memorial. I hadn't thought of this view until I turned around and saw the awesome twilight creeping up."
