~Agencies meeting to discuss potential restoration approaches~TALLAHASSEE –The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will host a workshop Sept. 19 at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Community Center in Pensacola. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the proposed local restoration projects designed to address injury from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill: two living shoreline projects and a new saltwater fish hatchery. The group will introduce two possible living shoreline projects proposed for the area. Concepts for a new saltwater fish hatchery to enhance recreational fishing opportunities will also be presented.
