The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is hosting a public meeting to solicit public comment on a draft Implementation Plan to improve water quality in the Trinity River. The plan outlines activities to achieve water quality goals set forth in plans, known as Total Maximum Daily Loads. The Implementation Plan proposes ways to lower levels of bacteria in the Greater Trinity River Region in Dallas and Tarrant counties, to bring the watershed into compliance with state and federal standards. The comment meeting is open to the public and is scheduled for July 25, 2013, at 6:30 p.m., in the Regional Forum Room at the North Central Texas Council of Governments (Centerpoint II building) offices at 616 Six Flags Drive, Arlington, Texas 76011.
