Physics team finds particle, updates accelerator

09.23.2013: Virginia Tech physicists are helping answer questions about how the universe works by looking at the building blocks of matter. In the late 1990s faculty and students helped build portions of the Belle detector, a subatomic physics experiment located in Japan. This summer, they were building an upgrade which will help the accelerator collect 50 times more data.

Robert T. Sumichrast named the Richard E. Sorensen Dean in the Pamplin College of Business

09.23.2013: Established in 2012 through the generosity of multiple friends of the Pamplin College of Business, the Richard E. Sorensen Dean's Chair will provide discretionary funds for the dean to use in developing outstanding academic and research programs.
