Crews cut two trenches in the boardwalk to Massive fire devastates Seaside Park boardwalk

Fire crews responded in bulk to contain a raging 8-alarm fire that tore through a slew of businesses along the boardwalk in Seaside Park. The blaze started at around 2:30 p.m. at Kohr's Ice Cream along the boardwalk. The flames later spread to more than 30 other buildings, part of Funtown Pier and at least one nearby condo complex. More than 400 firefighters responded to the fire at its peak.

The Great American Weenie Truck has been operating Yonkers hot dog truck told to move

The owner of a hot dog truck operated on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers for more than 30 years is now being told to move. Nicholas Filippi has run The Great American Weenie Truck near the Bed, Bath and Beyond store for 32 years. This week, the Office of Consumer Protection told him he had to go because the store wants him moved.
