GE signs $2.7 billion power generation contracts with Algeria
(Reuters) - General Electric Co said it signed three contracts valued at $2.7 billion with Algeria to supply power generation equipment and turbines to the country's power plants.

MILAN (Reuters) - Italy's defense and aerospace group Finmeccanica confirmed to unions at a meeting on Monday it is in advanced talks with Korea-based Doosan Heavy Industries for the sale of its AnsaldoEnergia unit, unions said in a statement.
