Controversial Conservation - With Chris Packham

14th October

Human-animal conflict, turning a blind eye to the persecution of protected species, the impact of domestic and feral cats on wildlife... the list of awkward conservation subjects gets longer by the day!

Many more details to follow.

Leaf eating hoatzins are encountered on all the waterways of the region, making scrappy nests in any foliage that overhangs the water. Their young retain claws on the first joint of their wings, enabling them to clamber clumsily back into the nest from the water. Archaeopteryx-like, they hint at a missing link between birds and dinosaurs.
