Staff Picks - Coming Up at American Art!

There's always something happening at American Art and its Renwick Gallery! Below are some of our staff members' favorite programs coming up in the next two weeks. (More info on these events - and lots of others - is available on our online calendar.) Hope to see you at the museum soon!

Free, live jazz in the Kogod Courtyard featuring Nasar Abadey and SUPERNOVA®      

Join Ray Telles, producer of Latino Americans, Episode 6Ray Suarez, chief national correspondent for PBS NewsHour; and E. Carmen Ramos, curator of Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art, for a lively discussion following the screening of "Peril and Promise," the sixth episode of Latino Americans. Book signing with Suarez follows.

Luce Unplugged Community Showcase
Friday, September 27, 6 - 8 p.m. 

Explore artworks on display in the museum's Luce Foundation Center while listening to sets by local bands Janel and Anthony, and Teen Mom, selected with the help of Washington City Paper's managing editor, Jonathan L. Fischer. Local brewery Port City Brewing will offer free tastings from 6 to 7 p.m.
