TCEQ Daily Air Quality Forecast Update

You are subscribed to Daily Air Quality Forecast (for Austin,Beaumont-Port Arthur,Brownsville-McAllen,Corpus Christi,Dallas-Ft. Worth,El Paso,Houston,Laredo,Lubbock,Midland-Odessa,San Antonio,Tyler-Longview,Victoria) for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This information has recently been updated, and is now available.

Tuesday 8/6/13
A large and intense African dust cloud is spreading rapidly northward across South Texas and should move into Central and Southeast Texas later today. The dust should raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" levels over most of South Texas today, including the Brownsville-McAllen, Laredo, Corpus Christi, and Victoria areas. The dust should cause increasing PM2.5 levels in Central and Southeast Texas this afternoon and evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range. 

Wednesday 8/7/13
African dust should spread rapidly northward across the eastern two-thirds of the state and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" or possibly higher levels over most of this area. Elsewhere in the western third of the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range. 

Thursday 8/8/13 Outlook
African dust should continue across the eastern two-thirds of the state and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI to "Moderate" or possibly higher levels over most of this area. Elsewhere in the western third of the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
