	Bronx to mark March on Washington anniversary Bronx residents will join people from across the country this weekend to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Martin Luther King Jr. led the 1963 march at the National Mall in DC, delivering his famous "I Have a Dream" speech and creating one of the most historic moments of the Civil Rights Movement.

	Bronx tenants fed up with rodents A Bronx family says they're fed up with living in a rodent-infested apartment. According to Wanda Francis, rats have been climbing through the walls of her Crotona Park East building on Prospect Avenue for more than a year.

	City Council overrides Community Safety Act veto City Council members have voted to override Mayor Michael Bloomberg's veto of the Community Safety Act. The proposed legislation consists of two bills born out of the stop-and-frisk controversy to create further oversight of the NYPD, including an inspector general. It would also give people more leeway to sue if they believe they were racially profiled.

	Family files suit against NYPD in bodega death The family of a Bronx bodega worker who was killed in the crossfire of a robbery has filed a $25 million lawsuit against the NYPD. Reynaldo Cuevas, 20, was accidentally shot and killed by officer Ramysh Bangali last September.

	Bronx student reads 1,094 books, wins 3rd Top Reader title A Bronx student has won his third Top Reader award from the New York Public Library. Michael Pineda, 8, read 1,094 books this summer.
