New YORK (Reuters) - Investment banker turned biotech chief executive, Robert Bradway, staked a claim as a savvy dealmaker with Amgen Inc's successful acquisition of Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc for more than $10 billion.
Eye drug firm Akorn to buy rival Hi-Tech Pharmacal for $640 million
(Reuters) - Specialty pharmaceutical company Akorn Inc will buy rival Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co Inc for $640 million in cash to expand its eye drug portfolio to other dosage forms such as oral liquids, topical creams and ointments.
Lloyds agrees to sell A$371 million loan parcel to Bain's Sankaty, says spokesman
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Britain's Lloyds Banking Group has agreed to sell a A$371 million ($335.74 million) portfolio of loan assets from its Australian unit BOS International Australia to Bain Capital's Sankaty Advisors for an undisclosed price, a Sankaty spokesman said in a statement.
China dairy group to seek approval for up to $1 billion HK IPO: IFR
HONG KONG (Reuters) - Chinese dairy company Liaoning Huishan Dairy Group plans to seek approval from the Hong Kong stock exchange on Thursday for an up to $1 billion initial public offering, IFR reported on Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the deal.
