Cobb Seniors can use your help

Meals on Wheels has a great opportunity for you to deliver meals to homebound seniors who are waiting for this needed service.  Cobb Senior Services is in need of volunteer drivers in Smyrna, Austell, Mableton and Powder Springs. If you have some time to volunteer as a Meals On Wheels driver, or if you belong to an organization or business that would like to adopt a route, call Volunteer Services at (770) 528-5381.

Cobb County is fortunate to have Meals on Wheels, a unique program, bringing homebound, frail seniors a hot meal on a daily basis. Each day, Senior Services prepares over 250 meals to be delivered to senior adults in Cobb County. Our volunteers make sure that not only is a hot, nutritious meal served, but also that each client is made to feel special with personal visits. More information about Cobb Senior Services is available at www.cobbseniors.org.

Participate in transportation planning from home

CobbInMotionCobb County has launched the 2040 Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update. This update will assist the county and its cities in designing, planning and funding transportation investments through the year 2040. Public participation is a significant and important part of this process.

The same careful planning that made Cobb County robust today is now needed for the future. Every citizen’s opinion counts as the public identifies countywide goals, priorities, policies, programs, strategies and projects to maintain Cobb’s quality of life while keeping Cobb in motion.

Get involved. Share your thoughts about where we’re going. To participate, log onto www.cobbinmotion.com.
