Have You Visited the New TRI Website Yet? If you’ve been to our website in the last week, you may have noticed a few changes…BIG changes! We’ve just finished redesigning www.epa.gov/tri to bring you new content, streamlined site navigation, more context for TRI data, and more ways for you to get involved with the TRI Program and provide your feedback. We think the TRI website is better than ever, with easier access to information about toxic chemical releases in your community...but what matters most is what YOU think - your feedback is very important to us. Please email us at tri.help@epa.gov with any questions or comments. Please note that the addresses for most of our webpages have changed, so make sure to update your bookmarks!
Preliminary 2012 TRI Data Available There’s more good news! The 2012 TRI preliminary dataset containing the most current TRI data is now available. It reflects toxic chemical releases and pollution prevention activities that occurred at TRI facilities during the 2012 calendar year. You can use the preliminary dataset to find TRI data from individual industrial facilities using Envirofacts or downloadable data files on the TRI website at http://www2.epa.gov/toxics-release-inventory-tri-program/2012-tri-preliminary-dataset. With the Envirofacts TRI Search, it's simple - just enter a facility name, location, industry sector, or chemical name. Please note that this dataset is not yet complete. We’ll be updating it every two weeks as we process additional Reporting Year 2012 TRI submissions. The complete 2012 dataset is expected to be available in October and will be the basis for the 2012 TRI National Analysis report, scheduled for publication in December 2013. |
