A 2.5-mile hike (gaining 1,250 ft.) brings you to the 8,929 ft. Mt. Scott summit, the only place in Crater Lake National Park where you can capture the entire caldera in one point-and-shoot photo. Imagine another 5,000 feet of volcano for an idea of what Mt. Mazama looked like before the cataclysmic eruption 7,700 years ago!
